During AIPPI’s meeting of last February 8, 2017, Simona Lavagnini was re-elected on AIPPI’s executive board for the period 2017-2020. She gained a total of 245 votes, arriving third in terms of preferences. Simona also remains President of the Association’s Training Group, which annually organizes seminars in the field of industrial and intellectual property.

Founded in 1897, AIPPI is the world’s leading International organization in the field of intellectual property. Due to the contribution of its 9.000 members, representing more than 100 Countries, AIPPI has been always committed to the development and improvement of laws for the protection of intellectual property. In particular, AIPPI cooperates with both government and non-government organizations and carries out comparative studies on the most relevant legislative proposals in the field of IP. Last September the annual AIPPI World Congress took place in the city of Milan. Simona Lavagnini – as member of the organizing committee – actively participated in the congress’ organization, dealing in particular with the opening gala held on September 17, 2016.
