SIMONA LAVAGNINI IS A SPOKESWOMAN AT THE CONVENTION “ADMINISTRATIVE ENFORCEMENT OF COPYRIGHT LAW ON THE WEB” AT THE “PARTHENOPE” UNIVERSITY OF NAPLES

Next Monday November 19th, Simona Lavagnini will join as spokeswoman in the convention ‘Administrative enforcement of copyright law on the Web’. The meeting will take place at the department of Economics and Legal Studies of the “Parthenope” University of Naples.

 

Sponsored by AGCOM and AIPPI, the event will focus on the new types of enforcement provided by the administrative law to copyright holders, regarding especially online-infringements. Simona Lavagnini will address her speech on the powers of the Italian Communications Authorities and the Italian Data Protection Authority on copyright law issues online.

TANKRED THIEM SPEAKER AT THE CONFERENCE “INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY FOR ARCHITECTS AND DESIGN”

Tankred Thiem, partner of LGV Avvocati, will be one of the speakers at the conference entitled “Intellectual property for architects and designers” to be held in Brunico (BZ), Sternbach Wohnen, that will take place on November 16, 2018.

 

The conference, conducted entirely in the German language, is accredited by the Order of Architects of Brunico and organized to raise awareness among members of the Order about issues related to industrial and intellectual property and connected with the profession of architect / designer. Mr. Thiem will provide participants with possible scenarios arising from the protection of trademarks, patents and designs, including the best tools for the protection of industrial and intellectual property. Together with Mr. Thiem, one of the speakers will also be Mr. Christian Notdurfter, who will focus his speech on the possible protection of intellectual creations in accordance with the protection of authorship.

Next Wednesday October 31st, Margherita Stucchi will join as spokeswoman in a webinar organized by Asseprim which will address the criticisms about data protection during M&A operations.

 

The personal data protection is a relevant issue during M&A operations, as many companies deal with personal data (of employees, clients, suppliers etc.). In some cases, the acquisition of databases containing personal data is the vital aspect of the operation itself. Furthermore, the risk related to the data protection plays a crucial role during the phase of the estimation of the company’s sale price (note the famous case Verizon/Yahoo).

For this reason, especially after the emanation of the GDPR, the compliance with the law on data protection is essential throughout all the various phases of the M&A operations: such as pre-signing, signing and post signing phases. The webinar will analyze all privacy-related issues during the M&A operation and it will particularly focus on the due diligence and the risks of data breach (cyber due diligence).

Today, October 23, 2018, Simona Lavagnini will participate as a moderator at the event “The audiovisual and new developments. Rights, properties, economies and new business of images and moving sounds” organized by Asseprim at Palazzo Castiglioni in Milan.

 

The conference has the aim of deepening, also through specific case histories, the audiovisual sector from a legal and economic point of view. The knowledge of the rights to use the contents and the financial incentives available are now essential elements not only for insiders, but also for all companies that actually use these productions. During the event both traditional and innovative audiovisual works will be examined and, thanks to the experts attending, the legislative and financial aspects of this growing sector and the possible future scenario will be analyzed, as well as the methods of circulation of content and the legislative aspects that govern them.


SIMONA LAVAGNINI SPEAKER AT A WEBINAR ORGANIZED BY ASSEPRIM ON PRIVACY AND MINORS IN THE AUDIOVISUAL SECTOR AND ON THE INTERNET

On 22nd of October, at 12:00, Ms. Simona Lavagnini will participate as a speaker in a webinar organized by Asseprim that will deal with the delicate issue of protecting the privacy of minors in the audiovisual sector and on the web.

 

The minors have become active subjects in the digital world and, for this reason, they need special protection and safeguarding from the dangers of the web. The webinar will analyze the legal issues concerning both the obtaining of the consent of the minor who accesses online content and the exploitation of the image of the minor online, by giving a presentation of the legal landscape at both Italian and European level (and in particular GDPR, Privacy Code as recently amended, AGCOM Regulations).

Simona Lavagnini will then discuss in detail some particular aspects of protection of the minors on the Internet, such as shareting, the right to oblivion and cyberbullying, as well as the forms of audiovisual communications that have as their target the minor, from digital advertising to in-app purchases.
