SIMONA LAVAGNINI IS ONE OF THE AUTHORS OF THE VOLUME “STUDI PER LUIGI CARLO UBERTAZZI”

Published by Giuffrè Francis Lefebvre, the volume that collects the contributions of the most influential lawyers and scholars in the field of IP, including LGV’s founding partner Simona Lavagnini, is now available.

 

Written by a carefully selected team of specialized professionals, the editorial contributions collected in the book “Studi per Luigi Carlo Ubertazzi” cover the various fields of IP. Ms. Lavagnini dealt with the hot topic of the responsibility of internet service providers starting from the examination of the Community legislation and then analyzing the conflicting decisions of the Italian courts.


LUIGI GOGLIA SPEAKER AT THE CONGRESS “IP DAYS”

LGV’s founding partner Luigi Goglia, will participate as speaker at the “IP DAYS” organized by the international law firm “Meissner Bolte” in Munich on September 25 and 26, 2019.

 

The event, which will be held at the Westin Grand in Munich, will be focused on the measures of protections of intellectual properties right in different jurisdictions all over the world.

Luigi Goglia will focus his speech on the civil search and the seizure in Italy, in particular on the requirements, the effectiveness and the possibility to use the collection of the evidence obtained in these proceedings across the Italian borders.

TANKRED THIEM AT FRANFURT for GRUR 2019

As every year, Tankred Thiem will represent LGV at the GRUR Annual Meeting, which will be held in Frankfurt from 25 to 28 September 2019.

 

The German Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (GRUR) is the largest and oldest association in Germany that is devoted to the protection of intellectual property. Tankred Thiem, historic member of the association, will take part in the traditional GRUR annual convention as a ten-year tradition.

The GRUR annual conference is the ideal place for sharing expertise in the field of intellectual property and is the perfect opportunity for LGV to consolidate the strong relationships with German speaking Clients and colleagues entertained since its foundation.


SIMONA LAVAGNINI IN LONDON FOR THE AIPPI ANNUAL WORLD CONGRESS 2019

Also this year LGV, represented by Simona Lavagnini, will be present at the 2019 AIPPI World Congress, which will take place in London, from 15 to 18 of September 2019.

 

The International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property, known as AIPPI, is the world’s leading international organization dedicated to the development and improvement of legal regimes for the protection of intellectual property. Every year thousands of members from all over the world come together to discuss the hottest and most current topics, to consolidate old collaborations and forge new working synergies.

This year the World Congress will take place in London from 15 to 18 September 2019. Simona Lavagnini, founding partner of LGV Avvocati and active member of AIPPI Italia, will participate in the event in order to renew and consolidate the network of international collaborations of the law firm.


ALESSANDRO BURA SPEAKER AT A WORKSHOP ORGANIZED BY AESVI ON AGCOM REGULATION FOR VIDEOGAME CLASSIFICATION

On September 11, at 2.30 p.m., at the iCavour Congress Centre in Rome, Mr. Alessandro Bura will take part as a speaker in a meeting organized by AESVI, the Italian videogame developers’ association, on the recent regulation issued by AGCOM concerning the classification of videogames.

 

The Regulation, approved by the AGCOM Council in March, to be considered in force from the day on which the complementary Guidelines were approved (July 18, 2019), introduces the obligation to classify video games (and audiovisual works intended for the web) intended for the Italian market, in order to protect minors.

The meeting, meant for an audience of professionals in the sector, is aimed at clarifying important aspects of the implementation of the Regulation, including the identification of video games to which the Regulation applies, the functioning of AGCOM system and the subjects responsible for classification.
