On 18th November Ms. Simona Lavagnini, co-founding partner of LGV Avvocati and one of the leading experts in copyright and new technologies, will participate as speaker in the webinar “Copyright & artificial intelligence: what if the author was a robot?”: an opportunity for in-depth regulatory analysis in the context of Milano Music Week.

 

Simona Lavagnini, co-founding partner of LGV Avvocati, will attend the webinar “Copyright & artificial intelligence: what if the author was a robot?”. During the event, which will take place in web-streaming on 18th November at 4.15 p.m., several issues related to Artificial Intelligence and Intellectual Property will be discussed, including the issue of the protection with copyright, or other mechanisms, of works produced by AI. The discussion will also focus on the various interests at stake and the need for a clarifying intervention by the EU legislator, in order to outline the best allocation of rights, also in order to protect and promote investments in technology as well as in the development of the cultural industry.

Mrs. Simona Lavagnini, Co-founding partner of LGV Avvocati, participates as speaker in the seminar “Luxury Digital Law” at the Digital Law Center of the University of Geneva.

 

Simona Lavagnini, expert in IP and new technologies, participates as a speaker at the meeting of next November 5 entitled: “E-commerce and virtual reality: the solution to navigating turbulent times?
The seminar is part of a series of four days of meetings, during which many international experts will participate. The topics of debate concern the digitization of the Luxury sector: from the protection of intellectual property rights through blockchain technology, to the privacy issues related to artificial intelligence; from e-commerce to the underlying issues of the new social marketing. Mrs Lavagnini will focus on issues related to luxury in the world of e-commerce, with particular regard to the control of distribution by brand-owners and the fight against counterfeiting in the online world.

Just Legal Services School of Legal Professions organizes the Master on New Technologies to deepen the topics related to the new challenges of law in the digital age. Simona Lavagnini, partner of LGV Avvocati, and expert in copyright and new technologies, is part of the scientific committee of the Master and will hold some lectures on digital copyright and artificial intelligence.

 

Ms. Lavagnini is among the scientific coordinators of the Master on New Technologies, organized by the Just Legal Service School of legal professions and aimed at offering specific skills in tech-law. The Master focuses on various legal issues related to digitization: competition, industrial and intellectual property rights, information and internet, privacy, criminal law, forensic investigations, and more.

In addition, Ms. Lavagnini participates as a lecturer in several days dedicated to the IP sector. Expert on copyright and new technologies, Ms. Lavagnini has recently held a lecture on copyright in the digital field and will hold a final lecture on Artificial Intelligence.

MS. SIMONA LAVAGNINI AMONG THE AUTHORS OF THE PUBLICATION OF THE ITALIAN GROUP OF AIPPI ON CRIMINAL COUNTERFEITING

Drafted by a group of experts in industrial and intellectual property law, the contribution has been published the 21st February 2020 on the website “Sistema Penale”. Among the authors also Ms. Simona Lavagnini, co-founding partner of LGV Avvocati.

 

The International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AIPPI) is known to promote debate on current issues related to the protection of intellectual and industrial property.
Ms. Simona Lavagnini, co-founding partner of LGV Avvocati and member of the executive committee of the Association (AIPPI Italian Group), is among the authors of the publication, realized thanks to the prestigious coordination of Prof. Avv. Francesco Mucciarelli. The contribution, published today on the website “Sistema Penale”, examines the application of the notion of counterfeiting in the field of industrial criminal law, with specific focus on case law. The publication also deals with the criminal notion of counterfeiting in relation to the protection of numerous industrial property rights: registered trademarks and other distinctive signs (typical and atypical), patents, designs and models.
