TANKRED THIEM IN AUGSBURG FOR THE EVENT DEDICATED TO ITALIAN LAW

Tankred Thiem, board member of DAV Italy, will take part on 21 March 2019 in the event dedicated to Italian law, organized by the Bar Association of Augsburg, Germany.

 

The Bar Association of Augsburg welcomes the representatives from Milan of DAV Italy for a meeting entirely dedicated to Italian law. The speakers will provide participants with an overview of the Italian judicial system, explaining its peculiarities and drawing attention to the main elements to be considered in legal relations between Italian and German subjects.

Tankred Thiem – who obtained his qualification both in Italy and in Germany – has been a member of the board of DAV Italy for more than ten years and was invited as a spokesman at the evening in Augsburg.

The activities carried out within the Association of German Lawyers are only one aspect of the long-lasting and extensive relationship between Italy and Germany, a context within which LGV, over the years, has established significant and highly productive connections with major German law firms and multinational enterprises.


SIMONA LAVAGNINI SPEAKER AT THE CONVENTION “ITALY MEETS FRANCE IN IP – A STORY OF FOOD AND FASHION”

The event will take place on Thursday January 31 and Friday February 1, 2019 in Lyon, at the prestigious venue “Port Rambaud”.

 

The congress, organized by the Italian and French groups of AIPPI (“International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property”), together with GRAPI (“Groupe Rhône-Alpes pour la protection de la Propriété Intellectuelle”), has the purpose of discussing, in a comparative view, the procedural and substantial law instruments offered by the Italian and French legislations for the protection of intellectual and industrial property rights in the fields of “food” and “fashion”.

Ms. Lavagnini, member of AIPPI Italia and part of its executive board, will focus her speech on the explanation of the main means of proof provided for by the Italian law system in court proceedings in IP matters.

LUIGI GOGLIA SPEAKER AT THE “IP AND PROFESSIONAL CONFIDENTIALITY” CONGRESS

On December 11th, Luigi Goglia, LGV’s Founding Partner, will participate as a speaker at the “IP and Professional Confidentiality” convention organized by AIPPI Italia at the Palazzo di Giustizia in Milan.

 

On December 11, 2018 will be held at 9.00 am the proceedings of the conference entitled “IP and Professional Confidentiality” – organized by the Italian Section of AIPPI, International Association for the Protection of Property Intellectual at the Eligio Gualdoni Hall of the Court of Milan.

The interventions of the famous speakers will have as their object the secret in industrial law and its interactions with the various professional figures (lawyers, consultants and judges).

The intervention of Mr. Goglia will specifically address the difficult issue of the balance between confidentiality and the right to defence, also in the light of recent regulatory changes in terms of know-how.


LGV AT BRUSSELS FOR EPLAW CONFERENCE

Also this year LGV, represented by Luigi Goglia and Tankred Thiem, will be present at the congress organized by EPLAW, which will be held in Brussels on November 30, 2018.

 

The congress will deal with issues relating to the field of patent litigation, with particular regard to the comparison between the different European countries.

SIMONA LAVAGNINI IS A SPOKESWOMAN AT THE CONVENTION “ADMINISTRATIVE ENFORCEMENT OF COPYRIGHT LAW ON THE WEB” AT THE “PARTHENOPE” UNIVERSITY OF NAPLES

Next Monday November 19th, Simona Lavagnini will join as spokeswoman in the convention ‘Administrative enforcement of copyright law on the Web’. The meeting will take place at the department of Economics and Legal Studies of the “Parthenope” University of Naples.

 

Sponsored by AGCOM and AIPPI, the event will focus on the new types of enforcement provided by the administrative law to copyright holders, regarding especially online-infringements. Simona Lavagnini will address her speech on the powers of the Italian Communications Authorities and the Italian Data Protection Authority on copyright law issues online.
