LGV IN TRIVENETO: EVENT FOR THE ENHANCEMENT OF IP ASSETS IN COMPANIES AND START-UPS

Next Friday, May 4, 2018, at the technology start-up incubator BIC Incubatori FVG in Trieste, Via Flavia 23/1, lawyers Luigi Goglia and Alessandro Bura will participate in the event organized by LGV Avvocati together with Biovalley Investments and CrowdFundMe entitled “IP & Finance for Business – Dedicated to start-ups, and not only”.

 

The event, dedicated to companies and technology start-ups that intend to protect and enhance their intangible assets, has among its speakers prominent personalities such as Mr. Diego Bravar, President of Biovalley Investments, a company from Trieste dedicated to the enhancement of the company’s assets in the biotech sector. The methods of raising funds in the private sector will also be discussed with reference to the report by Carlo Valentini, Marketing Manager of the Milan-based crowdfunding company CrowdFundMe. The event is hosted by the technology start-up incubator BIC Incubatori FVG of Trieste, which brings together several technology start-ups in the biotech sector and beyond.

Being able to combine the protection of its intangible assets with a strategic plan to enhance them is the main topic of the event. The lawyer Luigi Goglia, partner of the law firm LGV AVVOCATI, will dedicate his intervention to the enhancement of the judicial enforcement of IP assets as a model to promote business, sharing with participants his long-term experience in the sector. To demonstrate that IP assets are real business, the meeting will also be attended by representatives of GPQ S.r.l., a company active in the medical devices and dermo cosmetics sector.

 


LGV WITH ASSEPRIM TO DISCUSS THE NEW PRIVACY POLICY

Next Wednesday, April 11, 2018, at the Sala Colucci of the General Federation of Italian Commerce and Tourism in Milan, Simona Lavagnini and Margherita Stucchi will speak at the event organized by Asseprim entitled “New privacy law: how to translate a legal obligation into business opportunities”.

 

The new EU Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR) on Privacy will come into force definitively on 25 May 2018, introducing many important changes. What are the main changes introduced by the New Regulation? What processes and procedures should be followed to avoid heavy administrative penalties? Privacy in marketing and cybersecurity: what are the advantages and risks of data security?

To answer these and other questions, Asseprim organized a training course that led to the creation of webinars on the hot topics of the new privacy legislation; in particular, we highlight the contribution of the LGV Avvocati partner Simona Lavagnini on the interesting relationship between cloud and privacy.

A profound discussion of these very topical themes will be guided by the lawyer Simona Lavagnini during the conference on 11 April, where many speakers will be present; among them also the senior associate Margherita Stucchi who will focus her intervention on the theme of cybersecurity, sharing with the participants her accumulated of the years significant experience in this field.

 


SIMONA LAVAGNINI AND MARGHERITA STUCCHI AT THE MICROSOFT EVENTS DEDICATED TO THE PARTNERS IN THE AREA OF PRIVACY

The lawyers Simona Lavagnini and Margherita Stucchi took part in the “Partner Training: GDPR, SAM & Cybersecurity” events organized by Microsoft for their partners on March 21st in Rome and on March 27th in Milan.

 

During these events, Lavagnini and Stucchi presented a general overview of the new European regulation on personal data protection n. 679/2016, which will become enforceable on May 25, 2018, analyzing all the aspects related to the general principles, technical and organizational measures, data breaches and penalties. Both events were followed by an important number of Microsoft partners who showed particular interest in the specific area.

 


SIMONA LAVAGNINI AT THE WPC 2017 CONFERENCE ORGANIZED BY OVERNET EDUCATION IN COLLABORATION WITH MICROSOFT

The Microsoft Technology Conference 2017 (the WPC) took place from 28 to 30 of November. Simona Lavagnini intervened in the round table discussion on cyber security on the 28 November.

 

The round table discussion was also attended by representatives of companies, certification bodies as well as Ivano Gabrielli, Deputy Chief Police Officer of the Postal and Communications Police Service. Simona Lavagnini, referring to the general rules on the legal protection of software, highlighted the risks associated with the use of unlicensed software, analyzing the tools offered by our legal system to support software houses that own the rights.

 


SIMONA LAVAGNINI AT THE WORKSHOP “LEGAL PROFILES RELATED TO PUBLISHING AND COMMUNICATION IN SOCIAL NETWORKS”

From 20th to 26th November the event “Milano Music Week” will take place; among many different events planned we would like to draw your attention to the workshop entitled “Legal Profiles Relative to Advertising and Communication in Social Networks” which will be held on 23rd November at 17:00 at Casa Linecheck, Room 2. The lawyer Simona Lavagnini will be among the speakers at the meeting.

 

Social networks are communication tools that start from the personal dimension but also acquire economic value especially for artists and public figures. The workshop, presented by FIMI (Italian Federation of the Music Industry), aims to find answers to following questions: What are the boundaries between personal and commercial communication? If the communication is commercial, what are the applicable rules and risks? What is the approach of the Self-Regulatory Advertising, which was the first in Italy to do so?
